The run

What the Stadium shuttles run actually looks like

Coaches and minibuses parked in rows at the Marrickville depot

Two precincts take almost all of this work. Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush holds Accor Stadium and Qudos Bank Arena, about sixteen kilometres from the CBD and considerably closer from the west. Moore Park holds Allianz Stadium, only a few kilometres from the city but inside some of the tightest event-day traffic in Sydney. Getting there is rarely the hard part; getting out is. On a full house, thirty or forty thousand people leave at the same minute, trains fill, rideshare surges, and a group that arrived together spends an hour discovering it cannot leave together. A chartered shuttle solves the end of the night rather than the start of it: one vehicle, one agreed meeting point, everybody home. It is the reason clubs, workplaces and supporter groups book this run again the following season.

The shape of the day

How the day usually runs

A typical version of this trip, so you can see where the hours go before you commit to a departure time. Your own itinerary replaces it — this is the starting point we plan from, not a fixed timetable.

Step 1: Venue, event and finish time

Tell us the venue, the event and the scheduled finish. Concerts and matches end differently, and event-day traffic management changes which roads are usable, so the plan is built around the specific night rather than the address.

When you book

Step 2: Arrive with time to spare

We plan arrival well before the gates get busy, because the last twenty minutes of approach traffic can take longer than the whole trip in from the suburbs. Set-down happens where the venue's marshals direct on the night.

Before the event

Step 3: Holding, or two separate legs

For a three or four hour event it is usually cheaper to hold the vehicle than to book a drop-off and a separate return. We will price both when you enquire, because the answer changes with the length of the event.

During

Step 4: The agreed meeting point

This is the part that decides whether the night ends well. We agree an exact pickup point — a street name and a landmark, away from the main exit — before the event starts, and everybody is told it before they go in.

The moment it ends

Planning it properly

The vehicle, and where it picks you up

Which vehicle suits this run

On event work, capacity is about how many runs you want to make rather than how many people you have. One sixty-seat coach takes a full supporter group in a single movement, which is the simplest thing to manage in a crowd: one vehicle, one meeting point, one headcount. Two twenty-four-seat minibuses give you more flexibility on where you can stop and can run a loop between a club and the venue, which suits a group arriving in waves after work. For a corporate group being collected from an office and returned to the city, an executive minibus or a midi-coach is usually the comfortable answer. Luggage is rarely a factor at a stadium, so seats are the honest limit here — and if the group is likely to grow between booking and the night, tell us, because moving up a size later depends on what is still available for a date the whole city wants.

Compare every vehicle

Pick-up and set-down

The single most useful thing you can do is agree the post-event pickup point in advance and tell everybody what it is before they go in. Phone signal in a crowd of forty thousand is unreliable, so pick something visible with a street name attached rather than "outside gate B", and nominate one group leader who holds the point while stragglers arrive. On the way in, set-down is managed by the venue on event days and your driver follows the direction given on the night. If your group includes anyone who needs step-free access or extra time, tell us at the quote stage so we assign the right vehicle and allow loading time in the schedule.

What it costs

What moves the price on the Stadium shuttles run

Every charter is quoted individually. These are the things that actually change the number on this particular run, rather than a general note about pricing.

Held, or two separate legs

Holding the vehicle through the event keeps one driver on the clock. Releasing it and booking a return means two jobs. Under roughly two hours holding wins; over that, it is worth pricing both.

How late it finishes

A concert that ends near midnight and a crowd that takes forty minutes to clear puts the vehicle back at the depot very late. After-hours loading is confirmed in advance and shown in the quote.

The date, not just the venue

A grand final, a stadium concert or a New Year fixture takes vehicles out of the pool across the whole city. The same shuttle on an ordinary Tuesday and on a sold-out Saturday are not the same booking.

Where the group starts and ends

One club, one office or one hotel is a clean run. Four suburbs before the event and four after it is a route, and the extra time sits at both ends of a night that is already late.

Where we collect from

We start this run from anywhere in Greater Sydney

We collect from any address in the Sydney basin — a school gate, a hotel forecourt, an office loading zone or a house. There is no travel surcharge inside Greater Sydney, and we confirm a legal, workable stopping point in writing before the day.

Not on the list? It only means nobody has asked for it often enough to put it on the page. Send the address and we will quote it. See every area we cover

Questions about this run

Before you book the Stadium shuttles run

The questions groups ask us about this trip specifically. If yours is not here, call and ask — we would rather answer it now than have you find out on the day.

Get a fixed quote

Where does the bus meet us after the game?
At a point we agree with you before the event and confirm in writing — a named street and a visible landmark, deliberately away from the main exit so the group is not trying to find a coach inside the crowd leaving the venue. Everyone in the group should be told it before they go in.
How long before kick-off should we arrive?
Earlier than feels necessary. Approach roads around Olympic Park and Moore Park slow dramatically in the last hour before a full house, and event-day traffic management can close the direct route. We build that into the departure time rather than into an apology.
Can we drink on the bus on the way to the game?
On a private function booking, by prior arrangement only, and never on a school or youth charter. Tell us when you book so it is confirmed in the written quote rather than negotiated with the driver at the kerb.
Do you cover venues other than the three named here?
Yes. Racecourses, showgrounds, convention centres and suburban grounds are all the same job with a different address, and the planning — arrival before the crush, an agreed pickup point after it — does not change. Tell us the venue and the event when you enquire.

Next step

Tell us your date and we will price the Stadium shuttles run

The date, the pick-up suburb and a rough headcount is enough to start. The written quote comes back with the vehicle named, the hours set out and every inclusion listed — and the only things that can be added afterwards are the extras listed as confirmed in advance, each one agreed with you before it is charged.

Every price we publish is indicative, GST inclusive, and includes the driver and fuel. Your figure is confirmed in your written quote.

About the event

For example a birthday, festival, race day, concert or club function.

This decides whether the driver waits or comes back, which changes the price.

Will there be alcohol on board?

Asking up front lets us confirm what is allowed on the vehicle you are quoted, before you book.

No obligation. Every quote includes the driver, fuel and GST.
