Accessible transport goes wrong when it is arranged in general terms instead of specific ones. We ask how many wheelchair positions you need, whether the chairs are manual or powered, and what the access looks like at both ends — because a hoist is no help if the pickup point has a kerb the chair cannot get over. Loading and securing takes real time, so we build it into the schedule rather than expecting a driver to make it up on the road. Groups that mix seated passengers and wheelchair users are common and are planned as one movement, not two. We confirm exactly what the assigned vehicle can do for your dates instead of promising accessibility in the abstract.

Luggage decides this one, and it is the run where the seat count on paper is most misleading. A group of twenty-four travelling to a wedding fits an executive minibus easily; the same twenty-four with a cruise case and a carry-on each does not. For cruise work we size on effective headcount rather than seats: a high-roof Sprinter with a rear bay handles a small family group and their bags, a midi-coach or a full-size coach with an underfloor bin handles anything larger, and a thirteen-seat Commuter is the wrong vehicle for any cruise transfer no matter how few people are travelling. Tell us the true bag count when you enquire — not the polite version — and we will name a vehicle that takes all of it in the hold rather than half of it on laps.

It depends on the vehicle assigned to your dates, so we confirm it with your quote rather than publishing a number that might not hold. Tell us how many positions you need and whether the chairs are manual or powered, and we will tell you what we can supply for that day.
How much extra time should we allow?
Loading and securing a wheelchair properly takes several minutes per passenger and should never be rushed. We add that time to the schedule up front, which means the arrival time on your run sheet is one the vehicle can actually meet.
Can seated passengers and wheelchair users travel together?
Yes, and that is how most groups travel. We plan the mix as a single movement so carers, family and the rest of the group are on the same vehicle. Tell us the split when you enquire so the seating and the positions both add up.
